As a member of VLSI engineering design team, the Verification Engineer will be responsible for verification of a key ASIC. This individual will have strong verification experience and a solid understanding of Verilog-based RTL design.
Responsibilities will include development of verification strategies; developing system- and unit-level testbenches; formulating and executing plans. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in verification automation tools and strategies, and able to drive evaluation and implementation of test automation. Experience with SystemVerilog is desirable.
A high degree of cross-functional coordination is required, as is the requirement to teach verification concepts to enable others.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of RTL design in Verilog
- Substantial experience of the digital IC design flow using state of the art EDA tools (for simulation, synthesis, functional verification, and formal verification)
- Lab and system bringup experience is desirable
- DDR or DDR2 SDRAM experience desirable
- PCI Express experience desirable
- Floating point math experience desirable
- Good knowledge in programming C/C++ and experience with shell and perl/python
- Experience with system modeling in C/C++ or SystemVerilog is desirable
- Experience with Verilog Program Language Interface (PLI),VPI or DPI
- Experience with functional verification testbench architecture and design
The successful candidate will
- Posses a MS/EE or MS/CE with 5+ years verification experience
- Be a team player
- Have strong English communication skills
- Posses an excellent problem solving ability
- Demonstrate a successful track record of project work
- Be a responsible, independent contributor
- Work well in a hands-on startup environment without the infrastructure of a large company
- Be available within several weeks of an offer and will not require relocation assistance or visa sponsorship
